This goes out to all the Nexus S and Nexus One owners out there, you may want to check your devices for a fresh Android 2.3.6 update that Google has cooked up just for you. It will bring a slew of patches and bug fixes.
The update for the Nexus One will be 17.5MB and will change the build number to GRK39F. It was previously released for the Nexus S to to fix some voice search issues. We also hearing that some Nexus One users are having issues with the pinch-to-zoom feature within the gallery application. To manually check for the update, go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > Check for updates.
The Nexus S is also getting updated to Android 2.3.6. The size of the update is also 17.5MB large and will bring the its build number to GRK39F. This OTA update is going to address some tethering and voice search issues. It will also fix some bugs and apply some security patches. We have yet to see the full changelog but we’ll take what we get for now. You can grab the update by going to Menu > Settings > About Phone > Check for updates.
