Will LG Mobile be announcing the LG Nitro HD on December 1?

It looks like LG Mobile has something they want to show us. The company has sent out invites for an “exclusive launch event” in New York City on December 1. Although the invite doesn’t give much info on what will be announced, the folks over at Engadget predict that LG Mobile will be announcing the Nitro HD, the AT&T version of the recently released LG Optimus LTE.

The LG Optimus LTE was announced back in October. At first, we all thought that the phone was going to be a South Korea exclusive, but that changed when we found out it was heading to Canada via Bell. Rumors of it launching as the LG Nitro HD in the U.S. via AT&T started to earlier this month.

The Nitro HD is expected to have the same specs as the Optimus LTE:

  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4.5-inch HD IPS display
  • 8-megapixel camera
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • 1830mAh battery

There’s no telling if it will have access to AT&T’s newly launched 4G LTE network.

We’ll be sure to bring you the news on December 1. Stay tuned.
