Since it was released, the Verizon Galaxy Nexus has been stuck on Android 4.0.2 without receiving an update to Android 4.0.4 which the international version of the phone has gotten ages ago. The 4.0.4 update was pushed a couple of times already and then pulled for reasons only Google and Verizon know.
The link to the file is back again if you want to grab the Android 4.0.4 update. Do not forget that your Galaxy Nexus has to be running stock (Android 4.0.2) in order to install the new build. If you are however rooted, you should go back to stock and flash the file. On the bright side, we think that Verizon and Google have finalized it and it shouldn’t be too long until they officially roll it out via OTA.
