Valve’s PC Game Portal is heading to a NVIDIA Shield near you, thanks to an OTA update on April 2


Calling all Portal and Android fans out there. Today is an awesome day. The ever popular PC game will be coming to NVIDIA Shield thanks to an OTA software update scheduled for April 2. This was announced today at NVIDIA’s GPU Technology conference in San Jose, California.

The updates is going to bring the following improvements:

  • GameStream enhancements: Notebook streaming; Remote streaming
  • New TegraZone app
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat

The addition of Portal to the already available  300 games (via TegraZone) is a welcomed change for sure. We’re hoping to see more PC games making the jump to Android. If you’re still on the fence about getting the NVIDIA Shield, you should know that it is being sold for $199 for a limited time, $50 less than the suggested retail price.
