Upcoming Pantech Vega will feature Touch-less Gesture controls

Remember the Pantech Vega? It was announced earlier this month as a high end smartphone heading to South Korea. While we knew that the Pantech Vega featured powerful specs such as a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 720P HD display, we didn’t know that it would also include technology that we have yet to see on mobile devices, Touch-less Gestures.

The technology is developed by Israeli company eyeSight Technologies, and will be used by Pantech in their upcoming Vega LTE smartphone. With Touch-less Gestures, you are able to control your phone without ever touching your phone. This could come in handy when using your hands is impractical, such as when you’re driving, wearing gloves, or have messy hands.

This would be a great feature to have built into Android in the future. Google, if you’re listening, why don’t you scoop up eyeSight and make this a standard feature in Android? I’m sure I’m not the only who thinks that this is a nifty feature to have on a device.
