U.S. Cellular to sell the Samsung Galaxy S III online on July 11, in store later this week

If you’re a U.S. Cellular customer who’s been waiting to get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy S III, the time is almost here. U.S. Cellular has announced that starting on July 11 (tomorrow), they will have the Samsung Galaxy S III available for purchase online. The phone will then be available in store by the end of the week. At the moment, only the 16GB model of the Galaxy S III will be available. Unfortunately, the 32GB model will only be available in white and shortly after the initial launch.

Pricing of the Galaxy S III on U.S. Cellular is a little higher than other networks. The 16GB model will set you back $299.99 with a 2-year contract. To help defray the high cost, U.S. Cellular will be offering a $100 mail-in-rebate, which will effectively bring down the cost of the phone to $199.99.

U.S. Cellular is the only regional carrier to announce the Galaxy S III in the U.S. The other major carriers, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint also received the Galaxy S III. All variants, with the exception of T-Mobile’s, feature 2GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, and a fast 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.
