Twitter for Android gets optimized for ICS; now available on Amazon Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet, and Nook Color

The Twitter for Android has received an update today that brings full support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and some new features to the popular application. With this new update, users will be able to swipe a tweet in the home timeline to reply to, retweet, favorite, or share it, all without leaving the timeline. In addition, a confirmation alert has been added when you select “find friends”.

In addition to being fully optimized for Android 4.0, Twitter has announced that the application is now available for the Kindle Fire via Amazon’s appstore and will soon be available for the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet and Nook Color via the Nook Store.
