The Tough Casio G’zOne Commando Android Handset Heading To Verizon on April 28th

If you are a person who spends a lot of time outdoors, in the wild, the Casio G’zOne Commando maybe the absolute gadget for you! Verizon may be announcing the release of this rugged Android phone for April 28th along with the HTC Incredible 2.

The Casio G’zOne Commando will be running Froyo (Android 2.2), will have a 3.6-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera with flash, an 8GB SD pre-loaded card and some G’zGEAR outdoor apps such as the Earth Compass, the Walking counter, Adventure training and the Tide Calculator. The Commando will come with a MIL-STD-810G certification which means that it meets military standards for shock, water and dust resistance, so you can sit on it, drop it or swim with it.
