Sprint makes the ZTE Optik official, coming on February 5 for $99

It’s official: the ZTE Optik is heading to Sprint for $99 on February 5. To get the tablet for that low price, you will have to sign up for a 2-year contract, of course. The ZTE Optik features a 7-inch 1280 x 800 resolution display, a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Android 3.2 Honeycomb and more. If you decide to go contract-free, the price of the tablet jumps to $349.99.

Tablet plans on Sprint’s network start at $19.99 for 1GB of monthly data and goes up to $79.99 for up to 12GB of data.

It will be interesting to see how the ZTE Optik does on Sprint’s network. It features specs similar to those found on other Honeycomb tablets, but with pricing that is very attractive.
