Sprint Galaxy Nexus to get OTA update today, no Jelly Bean in sight

If you a proud owner of the Sprint Galaxy Nexus and cannot wait to update to Jelly Bean, you may have to wait a bit longer. It looks like the handset will be receiving an over-the-air update today which will bring new build L700.FG01. Here are the enhancements:

  • RSSI incidcator modification (signal strength indicator)
  • Support for Sprint TV
  • Wi-Fi and LTE setting default to On

The Sprint variant of the Gnex joins the one of Verizon in the wait for the Android 4.1 update. Sprint will be rolling outthe L700.FG01 update in stages meaning that you won’t all get it at the same time. It won’t hurt to manually check for it via the settings menu.
