Spotify to expand its service to Canada, Asia, and South America

If you’ve been waiting for Spotify to land in Canada, there’s some good news for you! A report from The Wall Street Journal says that Spotify is planning on expanding its service to Canada. Unfortunately, details on when you can expect the launch wasn’t made public. The information on Spotify’s upcoming plans were revealed in their holding company’s annual account filling, which contained a management reported from April of this year that had information on the future expansion plans.

In addition to launching in Canada, Spotify is also planning on making its service available in certain countries located in South America and Asia. Despite increasing revenues, Spotify is still having a hard time making money. Last year, the company had a net loss of $56.6 million.

Overall, it’s great that the service will b available to more people. At the moment, it’s available in 15 countries including the UK, Germany, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

If Spotify comes to your country, will you be signing up for an account? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
