Sony’s Smartwatch 3 listed as ‘coming soon’ in the Play Store for $249

Sony’s Smartwatch 3 is now available in the Play Store. It is listed as ‘coming soon’ and priced at $249, the same price as the Moto 360. This Android-Wear-powered watch is unlike the other ones. Sony designed it to be for folks who are into fitness and like to log their activities. It kind of reminds me (shape-wise) of the Garmin Forerunner 920XT.

The Sony Smartwatch 3 sports a 1.6-inch 320 x 320 display, Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 420 mAh battery (100 mAh bigger than the Moto 360) and Android Wear. The Smartwatch 3 will play music and track your activity without the need of of having a smartphone.

The first time we heard about US availability of this watch was back at the Xperia Z3v event. Verizon said they’ll carry it by the end of this month. We should see the ‘coming soon’ reoved by next week. Is anyone considering this watch?
