Sony Google TV Blu-ray player heading to the UK this summer

Sony is bringing its Google TV Blu-ray player to the UK this summer. The information was obtained by the folks over at The Verge, who were able to get the scoop from some Sony folks who are showing off the Google TV-enabled Blu-ray player in London. At the moment, there’s no word on whether the two new models that were announced by Sony at CES 2012 would be available in the UK this summer. With Sony’s Google TV Blu-ray player heading to England, we could only assume that Google is also planning on releasing the service there sometime between now and the summer. After all, Back in August, Google’s Eric Schmidt promised that the popular service would be launching across Europe sometime this year.
