Sony announces the Xperia miro, a social-minded phone

Yesterday, Sony announced their new social-minded phone, the Xperia Miro. The Xperia Miro was announced more than a week early after Sony set up a countdown timer on their Facebook Page. In exchange for likes, the countdown would be sped up, giving way for early announcement.

Although Sony hasn’t given too much info on the phone’s specs, we can tell a few things based on the video they released. The Xperia Miro features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 30fps video recording, a front-facing camera video chat, more Facebook integrations, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

At the moment, it looks like the Xperia Miro will be a device destined for Europe only It will be available in black, pink, gold, and silver.
