Samsung’s Nick DiCarlo shows off the Galaxy Nexus on Fox, doesn’t give away release dates or pricing info

Nick DiCarlo, Samsung Mobile’s V.P. of Product Planning, made an appearance on Fox Business Network’s After the Bell program last night to talk about Samsung’s upcoming phone, the Galaxy Nexus. Nothing new was said about the Galaxy Nexus, which is set to be released on November 17 in Europe. During his time on air, DiCarlo demonstrated the Galaxy Nexus’s Face Unlock feature and its real-time voice dictation feature.

When asked when the phone was going to be released in the U.S, DiCarlo simply stated “just a little bit later this year. When asked about pricing information, DiCarlo dodged the question by “well, hopefully Verizon will let us know very soon; It’s their phone, they know”.

Although U.S. pricing and release date information haven’t been announced, the phone is set to sell for $299 on a 2-year contract. The latest rumored launch date is November 21, which was spotted in a leaked Verizon roadmap.
