Samsung: March 10 Android 4.0 update date for the Galaxy S II was a mistake

Remember the news about the Samsung Galaxy S II receiving its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on March 10? I’m sure that many SGSII owners were very happy when they heard the news.

It’s time to turn that smile upside down. Samsung has announced that the March 10 update date posted by its Philippines website was a mistake. There is no Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update coming to the Galaxy S II on March 10. Samsung says that once the update is ready, they will notify everyone via Twitter.

The announcement on Samsung’s website about the upgrade has since been removed. So once again, if you’re a Galaxy S II owner, there won’t be any ICS upgrades on March 10.
