Samsung Gear S on its way to U.S. carriers this fall

Announced less than a month ago, the Gear S, a Tizen-powered Samsung smartwatch, will be available through AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless this fall. We first learned about it from T-Mobile who mentioned that the curved watch will be sold on their Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) and that they’ll share more details next month.

What makes the Gear S unique is the fact that it supports 2G,3G and Wifi connectivity allowing its users to place calls and connect to the internet. Its 2-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 360 x 480, higher than any Android Wear smartwatch. It also sports a 1GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and Tizen OS. Check out hands-on below.

Details about pricing are unknown at the moment. We’ll make sure to let you know if we hear something.
