Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v available in tomorrow in Portugal for €590

An older version of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 is going to go on sale in Portugal tomorrow for €590 on Vodafone. This version that is being sold in Portugal, other European countries, and Australia is model number 10.1v. So what’s the difference between the 10.1v and the model that Samsung announced to everyone at CTIA?

During CTIA, Samsung had a different Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 on display for everyone to play with. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 that was on display was a thicker model. The version that Samsung announced during their event was a slimmer model. Samsung probably decided to re-design their tablet after hearing of the iPad 2’s ultra thinness. So what did Samsung do with those old, thick, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9? They called the 10.1 model 10.1v and offered it to Vodafone and canned the 8.9 model.

So technically, this isn’t the thin Galaxy Tab 10.1 that everyone was drooling over at CTIA. Once the “real” new Galaxy Tab becomes available, we’ll let you know.
