Samsung Galaxy S8 presales hit record 550,000 units in less than 2 days in Korea

If you were thinking that Samsung’s notoriety has taken a hit with the Note 7 snafu, think again! According to Korean publication, Business Korea, the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ pre-orders have reached the 550,000 mark in less than 2 days in Korea. Folks, that’s 5.5 times the amount of Galaxy S7 pre-orders which amounted to 100,000 last year. They also beat Note 7 presale number as well.

The Galaxy S8+ Asian version which comes with 6GB of RAM and the 6.2-inch Infinity display is said to be very popular. The Midnight Black was the crowd’s favorite color.

Pre-orders are set to ship very soon. We’re sure that all of you, including my wife, cannot wait for April 20. We will update the sales figures once they become available.
