Samsung has just released the source code for their beast the Galaxy S II (GT-I9000) five days after its release in Europe. The Galaxy S II has already been rooted about a week ago and these news can only make the Android developers, such as CynaogenMod, happy to work on some awesome ROMs for us in the near future.
Samsung have definitely responded to Sony Ericsson’s move about providing instructions and even a website on how to unlock and flash ROMs into their devices. We certainly hope that other manufacturers such as Motorola will take the same route as Samsung and Sony Ericsson.
The Samsung Galaxy S II has been, so far, the , most talked about Android phone even though it hasn’t even been released in the US or Canada. Once again, we will be looking at Galaxy S II having a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 2.3, TouchWiz 4.0 UI and many other awesome features under the the hood. Will you be getting one now?
The source code can be found here.
