We have yet to get our hands on a review unit of the Samsung Galaxy S II but thankfully the folks at PocketNow have been able to confirm that it works on AT&T’s HSPA+ network. This also confirms what we already reported about the Galaxy S II when it went under the FCC’s microscope carrying the 850/1900MHz AT&T compatible bands.
The Samsung Galaxy S II shows the same “H+” sign which is as the other 4G phones on AT&T’s network while on HSPA and switches to 3G when on HSDPA. Brandon from Pocketnow has been able to get over 6Mbps on download speeds on his Galaxy S II test unit. This is good news for AT&T customers who are leaning toward this Samsung beast as we are all awaiting Samsung’s event on May 24th.
