[Hands On] Samsung Galaxy Note 7 AnTuTu , AndroBench Benchmark Results

While I was at the Unpacked event last week, I ran a couple of benchmark tests on the Note 7 using the Antutu and AndroBench apps. The model I used was the Samsung SM-N930V which packs the Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

According to the AnTuTu app, the Note 7 scored 143,816 higher that the Oneplus 3 which sits at 140,288 and the vivo Xplay5 (138,706) and the LeEco Max2 (138,026).

On the other hand, the phablet scored 416.87 MB/s in sequential read and 145.6 MB/s in sequential write on AndroBench. The read speeds are lower than the Exynos-powered Galaxy S7 Edge (479.09 MB/s). The Write speeds are also lower than vivo Xplay7Plus (159.56 MB/s) and the Oneplus 3.

Judging from the numbers, the Note 7 will perform as good as the S7 Edge, Oneplus 3 and other Snapdragon-820-powered devices. Do you guys base your phone purchases on benchmark scores?
