Samsung announces the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2, another Android-based portable media player

As if there weren’t enough Galaxy S WiFi sizes available, Samsung has gone ahead and released another size in the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2. The Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 is like other Galaxy S WiFis in that it’s an iPod Touch competitor, and does everything a Galaxy S phone can do, except make phone calls.

The Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 features a 4.2-inch WVGA IPS TFT display, a 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a front-facing VGA camera, a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, 512MB of RAM, 8/16GB storage options, microSD card slot, full access to the Android Market, and much more.

While there isn’t anything groundbreaking in the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2, it does offer another option for those looking for an Andriod-based media player and portable gaming machine.
