Sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note reach 700,000 in South Korea

Samsung has announced that sales of the Galaxy Note has reached 700,000 in South Korea. The Galaxy Note was released back in November. It is a combination of a phone and tablet that features a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display and a fast dual-core processor. The 700k figure represents the number of units sold to channel and distributors and not to end customers. As of December, over 1 million units of the Galaxy Note have been sold globally. That number is expected to grow once the phone is released in North America. The Galaxy Note will be available on AT&T’s new LTE network on February 17. In Canada, a number of carriers including Rogers, Telus, and Bell will be offering the Galaxy Note.
