Rumor: Motorola RAZR HD and RAZR Maxx HD could be delayed due to antenna issues

If you’ve been waiting for Verizon and Motorola to release the Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD, you might have to wait a little longer if information provided by Howard Forum user xbernaut is correct.

According to the user, both the Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR Maxx HD are experiencing external antenna issues that cause signal degradation when the phone is held for a period of time. The issue is similar to that which affected the iPhone 4 when it launched.

The forum member said that he has confirmed the story with a friend who is currently testing the device for Verizon Wireless. The phone could be delayed due to the new hardware that is being put in place to resolve the issue.

Of course, all of this is unconfirmed rumors at the moment. Motorola and Verizon never gave us an actual release date, so as long as it’s here before the major holiday season, which would begin around Black Friday, everything should be good to go.
