Alright guys, here’s the latest rumor on all the Samsung Galaxy S III rumors we’ve heard thus far. According to the guys over at The Verge, you can say goodbye to those pics of the GT-i9300 being the actual Galaxy S III. According to sources familiar with the matter, the pictures of the GT-i9300 are not accurate representations of the Galaxy S III.
The pictures of the GT-i9300 are “generic test boxes” used to put the next Galaxy S phone through quality checks. These generic test boxes are being used by employees so that they can use the phone outside of company premises without people noticing what’s going on. The internals of the phone pictured in the two previous leaks are those of the Galaxy S III, but the body is just a dummy decoy.
According to the source, “that’s not even close to the final design…no leaks of the final design have been accurate”.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m so happy that the leaks aren’t the final design; they really did look hideous.
The source also said that security surrounding the preparation of the Galaxy S III has been tighter than any other of Samsung’s product. Security on the successor to the Galaxy S II is so tight that the source is unable to confirm the Galaxy S III name. As you recall, Samsung sent out invites to members of the press for a special event for the unveiling of their “next Galaxy“.
So there you have it, another rumor on rumors of the most anticipated Android phone of the year, the Samsung Galaxy S III!
We’ll find out the truth on May 3!
