Rumor: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update coming to the Galaxy S II, S III, and Note in Q4

According to some new reports from the guys over at Sam Mobile, some popular Galaxy line of Samsung products are expected to be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean soon. Based on the report from Sam Mobile, which hasn’t been confirmed by Samsung, the Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy S III should be receiving their Android 4.1 update sometime during Q4.

According to the site, here is the status of the Android 4.1 update for the different Galaxy devices:

  • Galaxy S II – Samsung is currently testing JB for the Galaxy S II. So far, the tests are looking good.
  • Galaxy S III – Test firmware have passed and Samsung is currently working on public version.
  • Galaxy Note – Currently testing JB on the Galaxy Note, and things are looking good.

Unfortunately, Samsung has yet to confirm any of this, so we’ll just have to wait until things become official. Hopefully they come out and make announcements pretty soon.
