Quad-core Acer Tablets with Ice Cream Sandwich confirmed as the A510 and A511

Android-powered Iconia Tab A500

More information on upcoming quad-core Android 4.0 tablets are starting to crop up. We already know about the announced Asus Transformer Prime, and earlier today, we learned that Lenovo was also planning to launch an Android 4.0 tablet by the end of the year.

The latest information on quad-core Ice Cream Sandwich tablets comes from Acer. A set of user agent profiles for two tablets were uncovered on the company’s website. The model number of the tablets will be A510 and A511. The specs on these tablets will match those of the Asus Transformer Prime with a quad-core processor, 1280 x 800 resolution, Android 4.0. The A510 will be the Wi-Fi model while the 3G variant will be the A511 model. These tablets appear to be replacement for the popular Iconia Tab tablets.

No information on when these two tablets will make their way onto store shelves. They will most likely be announced sometime during CES 2012 in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for more information!
