Pantech Vega LTE heading to South Korea, features a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 720P HD display

Pantech might no be doing things big here in the United States, but in its home nation of South Korea, the mobile phone manufacturer doesn’t hold back. Pantech recently announced that their newest handset, the Pantech Vega LTE will be heading to South Korea. The Vega LTE features a large 4.5-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution, a fast dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash that is capable of recording video at 1080P, and will be powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

All of this greatness will be packed into a device that is only 9.5mm thin and weighs 135.5g (4.8oz). In addition to all of these great specs, the Pantech Vega will include a 1830mAh battery, assisted GPS, WiFi, NFC capabilities, and much more.

The phone will be available in South Korea via SK Telecom later this month. As of right now, this is only going to be available in South Korea, and no information on an international release have been planned.
