Pantech Element waterproof LTE tablet heading to AT&T on January 8th for $299.99

According to the guys over at BGR, a new Honeycomb tablet from Pantech, the Pantech Element, is headed to AT&T’s 4G LTE network on January 8.

The Pantech Element will sell for $299.99 with a new 2-year contract and for $450 contract-free. The Element features an 8-inch display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, 16GB of internal storage, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording video at 720P, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera capable of recording video at 1080P, and more.

In addition to the impressive specs, the Pantech Element is also features IP57 waterproof rating, meaning that the tablet is splash resistant (as long as ports are closed); it’s not actually waterproof and cannot be submerged.
