Japan’s top carrier NTT DoCoMo has released a marketing pamphlet showcasing the Galaxy S III with a “cheesy” tag line claiming that “it understands you.” According to the brochure, it looks like Japan’s variant of the upcoming Samsung handset will sport the S4 Snapdragon dual-core chip and 2GB of RAM, instead of the quad-core chip and 1GB of RAM which were announced at the unveil in London. The first thing that came to my mind was that this could probably be a typo. However, I will not be surprised if Samsung decides to pull a quick on us with a killer spec like this–maybe to compensate for the lack of the Tegra 3 quad-core processor. The same information was also found in NTT DoCoMo’s list of upcoming devices; we’ll keep an eye on their site for any changes.
