Nokia releases Z Launcher, a launcher that learns from you

If you’re a long time Nokia fan and have converted to Android, we have some promising news. They released an Android launcher called Z Launcher. It is not available in the Play Store yet because it is still pre-beta stage. But don’t worry, you will still be able to download it.

Z Launcher is a launcher that learns how you use your Android phone. It displays your most used apps in the main screen so you won’t have to look for them every time you need to use them. Another feature that is worth mentioning is Scribble.  With it, you can look up anything by simply drawing the first letter on the screen.

Brook Eaton, Product Lead Manager of Z Launcher, said “The more you use it, the better it gets at predicting your every whenever/wherever/whatever. This way your smartphone becomes more than a constantly shuffling myriad of stuff – it’s truly your device.

So far, customizing the main screen is very limited. The apps on the main tray cannot be changed and you can only access the Apps menu – no wallpapers or widgets. This is why it is still in pre-beta stage. We’re sure that the folks at Nokia are working on improving Z Launcher because it has a lot of potential.

Curious? We suggest to give it a try here and let us know what you think of it.
