The Nexus 6 is official, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, pre-orders start in late October

The Nexus 6 aka Shamu is official folks. Google is making a quiet announcement via their blog. As expected, it comes with a 5.96-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution (493ppi),  2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU, 13MP front-facing camera, 2MP front camera, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, 3,220 mAh battery and Android 5.0 KitKat.

Motorola says that you can get “up to 6 hours of use from only 15 minutes of charging.” This could mean that the phone comes with the Turbo Charger. This is the best looking Nexus device we’ve personally seen and we can’t hid our excitement.

The Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order on October 29 from the Play Store, Best Buy, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon. Pricing details are still up in the air. We’ll keep you updated!
