New universal root method roots many Jelly Bean and ICS devices

An XDA user has developed a new method for rooting devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. XDA user Bin4ry has created a small script that uses the remount timing issue in Android’s adb restore service. Theoretically, the root script should work with nearly all ICS/JB devices. For those that devices that it doesn’t work on, a slight mod might be needed.

To get started, simply downloaded the Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v3.rar file from the source link below, extract the file, and double click RunMe.bat and follow the onscreen instructions. The script is available in for Windows and Linux.
