Motorola Photon Q cruises through the FCC with Sprint LTE bands

A Motorola device with model number XT897 cruised through the FCC today. Although we can’t say for sure what it is, it appears that it’s most-likely the upcoming Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. The device that cruised through the FCC featured an NFC chip and LTE band 25, which is Sprint’s 1900MHz band for their new LTE network. According to a recent picture, we can confirm that there’s an upcoming Motorola phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Other rumors of the Photon Q 4G LTE include a quad or dual-core processor (most-likely dual Snapdragon S4 due to LTE) and HD display.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Motorola packed this baby with 2GB of RAM, it looks like Samsung and LG have started a new trend with launching their high-end phones with 2GB of RAM.

Hopefully we’ll be hearing more about this upcoming device soon. For those of you who prefer phones with physical keyboards, hang in there if you’re Sprint. You will soon have an extra phone to choose from.
