Motorola DROID 3 shows in GLBenchmark, OMAP 4430 processor on board

If you are looking for another confirmation that the Motorola Droid 3 is coming to Verizon, we got some good news for you. In addition to the D3 receiving MAP, it just appeared on the GLBenchmark 2.0 results browser page. The results confirm the replacement of the Tegra 2 processor with the OMAP 4430 dual-core processor which is the same as the XT883 Chinese version, aka Milestone 3.

According to the system information page, the Droid 3, also mentioned as the XT883, will come with Android 2.3.4, a 960×540 qHD 4-inch display, 8-megapixel rear camera, front facing camera, full-sliding QWERTY keyboard, up to 32GB of storage, 1500 mAh battery and CDMA support.

Thanks to the guys from Anandtech, we were able to get a comparison chart in GLBenchmark 2.0 between the Droid 3 and some other devices already in the market. Also note that the Motorola Droid 2 has been highlighted to show the actual increase in performance in the Droid 3.
