Motorola DROID 3 benchmarked and reviewed

We have been hearing news about the Motorola Droid 3 for the past month and it looks like the website XDA.cn was able to get their hands on one of them. This Moto phone is actually called “Milestone 3” in China as a non-U.S. version. You can definitely tell by looking at the picture above and especially with the dedicated numbers row.

After going through all of the images, we can tell that the Droid 3 will have:

  • 4-inch 540×960 capacitive qHD display
  • Android 2.3
  • TI OMAP4330 dual-core processor (check benchmarks below)
  • 512MB RAM
  • 16GB of internal storage
  • 8-megapixel camera rear-facing camera
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • Full-sliding QWERTY keyboard
  • Micro USB v2.0
  • 1500mAh battery
  • CDMA 1X, EVDO rev.A networks support

The Droid 3 will have the same pentile screen as the Atrix 4G which has been a big letdown so far. Add to that, the half-gig RAM which has somewhat made it less of a contender to the big dogs in the Galaxy S II and the Sensation 4G. The Motorola Droid 3 will compensate with its full sliding keyboard, added number row and the newly updated Blur which we have yet to take a look at. Check out the gallery for the benchmark test, some snapshots used with the camera and other pictures.
