MetroPCS launches the Activa 4G, Huawei’s first 4G LTE phone in the United States

If you’re a MetroPCS subscriber, you now have one additional 4G LTE phone to choose from. On June 8, MetroPCS announced that it was now offering the Huawei Activa 4G, Huawei’s first 4G LTE phone in the United States. Specs-wise, the Activa 4G isn’t a killer phone, but it will let you get on MetroPCS’s fast 4G LTE network at a low price.

The phone features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, a front-facing VGA camera, an 800MHz single-core processor, 151MB of internal storage with microSD card support for up to 32GB, an 1880mAh battery, and more.

As you can see from the above specs, the phone is nothing compared some of Huawei’s other high-end phones. But at $149.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate, it’s good choice for those who don’t really care much about specs.

The Activa 4G is now available at MetroPCS locations and online at
