Meet the Samsung Captivate Glide, a QWERTY slider heading to AT&T Wireless

Take a look at the phone that will be called the Samsung Captivate Glide. According to BGR, the Captivate Glide will be heading to AT&T in the first quarter of 2012. Not much is known about the phone at the moment except that it will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has a 4-row QWERTY keyboard, and will have an 8-megapixel camera in the back (that will probably be capable of shooting HD video).

If this phone looks familiar, it’s because it has been posted in the past. Prior to the release of the Galaxy S II, it was rumored that AT&T would receive this keyboard-laden version of the popular SGS II. As we know today, that is not the case because AT&T got their (slightly modified) version of the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Whatever this one ends up being, AT&T customers will soon have another option when it comes to QWERTY slider phones.
