Meet the LG Wine Smart, an Android flip phone with 1.2GHZ quad-core CPU, 3.5-inch display

Earlier today, LG announced the release of the LG Wine Smart. Not only the name is odd but this is a flip smartphone running Android 4.4. The first thing that came to me when I saw this was ” LG was bringing 88 back,” then I realized that the first flip phones launched in the late 90’s.

Back to the LG Wine.

First of all,the overall look of the phone doesn’t look that bad at all and I’d really like to see in person. When it comes to specs, we’re looking at a 3.5-inch display with a 320 x 480 resolution, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 1,700 mAh removable battery and Android kitKat.

The LG Wine Smart is not a beast of a phone in terms of performance. It will however appeal to folks who are missing their old flip phones (shhh…I am one of them). It is set to launch in South Korea on September 26 in black and white colors.
