Lenovo introduces K91, the world’s first Smart TV running on Android 4.0

Talk about a super TV! Yesterday at CES Unveiled, Lenovo introduced their super smart TV, the K91! Why is the K91 so smart and special? Because it runs on Google’s Android 4.0 OS. It’s actually the world’s first TV to run on Android 4.0. Lenovo’s smart “sandwich” ui unites the three major smart tv components: VOD, internet applications, and traditional TV.

The K91 has all of the features you’d expect to find on a smartphone, and more. It is powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core 8060 SnapDragon processor and features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 3D technology, full HD IPS display at 240hz with SRS TruSurround sound, access to thousands of apps from the Android Market and the Lenovo Store, and more.

The K91 also features a 5-megapixel camera (Yup, on a TV!) for video chat and Face unlock technology for security and parental controls. Voice controls on the K91 allows you to control your TV by simply speaking to it; who cares if you can’t find the remote or are too lazy to get up!

Unfortunately, the K91 Smart TV is only available in China at the moment. The good news is that Lenovo will be releasing it worldwide at a later date, but we’re just not sure when.

We will be sure to bring you some pictures and hands on videos when we visit Lenovo’s booth at CES2012!
