Leaked system app list of upcoming Nexus reveals interesting apps and zero bloatware

The system app list of the upcoming Nexus device from Samsung reveals a lot of things, including the fact that there is no bloatware to be found on this upcoming phone. While the no-bloatware discovery shouldn’t really be a surprise (it’s a Nexus device, after all), some other notable things should. Take a look at the list and then scroll down to see these other interesting apps:

Out of all those apps, there are some interesting ones:

ChromeBookmarksSyncAdapter.apk – The name of this app suggest that bookmarks syncing will finally be available on the stock Android browser on phones. This is already possible on Honeycomb (tablets).

FaceLock.apk – Can’t be so certain with this one, but it definitely looks like something related to facial recognition. Will ICS use facial recognition to unlock your phone? Could it just be a facial recognition thing for the camera?

NfcGoogle.apk – NFC only means one thing, Near Field Communication, and this app has everything to do with the NFC chip inside the Nexus Prime.

Did any other interesting apps catch your eye? If so, drop us a line in the comments.

I guess we’ll find out what this new Nexus device and Ice Cream Sandwich have to offer on October 11 when Google and Samsung make their announcement during CTIA.
