[Leak] LG G3 to sport 1440 x 2560 display, 3GB of RAM and more

With the release of the HTC One M8 and the Galaxy S5 in the past week, a lot of us are still waiting to see how LG is going to respond to its competitors. After doing some digging on Sprint’s website, the folks at My LG Cell Phones were able to spot a User Agent Profile for an LG device with model number LS990.

Upon analyzing the profile, the following impressive specs were found:

  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM 8974
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560
  • 32GB of internal storage expandable with microSD slot (up to 64GB)
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 2.1-megapixel front camera

The only spec left at this point would the battery size. The LG G2 comes with a 3000 mAh battery which gave it an awesome battery life. We can speculate that it will remain the 3000 mAh range. A report from Korean website, Asiae, claimed that the G3 will launch sometimes in May this year (maybe in South Korea first). That is 3-4 month earlier than when the LG G2 was released last year.

Here is to hoping that we’ll hear something official in the near future.
