Kyocera Rise with slide-out QWERTY keyboard heading to Sprint (and Virgin Mobile)

Check out the Kyocera Rise, an entry level phone that is soon going to be available on Sprint’s network. The Rise was announced back at CES 2012 (along with the Kyocera Hydro), and now, we finally know where it’s going to be heading. @EVLeaks, the same person who gave us information on the upcoming Samsung Jasper, now has a press pic of the upcoming Kyocera Rise.

Based on the picture, the phone is going to be available on Sprint’s network. According to @EVLeaks, Virgin Mobile will also be getting it. Specs wise, the Rise features the same specs as the Kyocera Hydro, except for the waterproofing. In it you will find a 3.5-inch HVGA display with a single-core Snapdragon MSM8655 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 512MB or RAM, and more.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have any pricing or release date information. While the phone might not be superior like the HTC Evo 4G LTE or Galaxy S III, it does offer options for people looking for a budget-friendly phone with a full QWERTY keyboard.
