Korean carrier SK Telecom says Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S II will be available March 13

According to Korean carrier SK Telecom, the Galaxy S II will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich tomorrow starting at 10AM Korean time or 9PM EST. This was announced earlier via their Twitter account and was quickly taken down–probably because Samsung wanted to get full credit for the ICS update. However, We think that it will still be rolled out tomorrow.

On the other hand, Samsung, via @SamsungTomorrow, tweeted the following message:

Those of you Galaxy S2 customers a smooth upgrade ICS OS Kies program conducted to date before the update please. You’ll Be able to be announced soon via Twitter.

This is the second time we’ve seen Samsung announcing the Android 4.0 update for the Galaxy S II. Let’s hope that they won’t retract it again. This is definitely good news for SK Telecom Galaxy S II owners and for us here is the U.S., we may have to wait a bit to get it due how our beloved carriers have modified the phone.
