Huawei Ascend P1 heading to China in mid-April

We’ve known about the Huawei Ascend P1 for quite some time now. The super-slim phone, which is the first to transform Huawei image from a maker of budget Android phones to one of high-end phones, will finally launch next month.

The guys from the Chinese site ePrice attended a Huawei event where they learned that the upcoming dual-core phone will first be released in China in mid-April. After the Chinese launch, the Ascend P1 will launch in other markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Japan, and Australia. Unfortunately, no information on a North American launch was provided.

The Huawei Ascend P1 will be available in 3 colors: black, white, and pink. It will be powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and will feature the following:

  • Android 4.0
  • 4.3-inch qDH display
  • 1.3-megapixel front camera
  • 8-megapixel rear camera
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 4GB of internal storage
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, HSDPA connectivity
