HTC Evo 4G LTE pre-orders to be fulfilled by Best Buy on May 24 or 25

According to an internal Best Buy memo obtained by the guys at Android Central, some lucky people who pre-ordered the HTC Evo 4G LTE could have their phone in-hand as soon as tomorrow, Thursday, May 24. According to the memo, shipments of the phones are en-route to Best Buy locations throughout the country and should be arriving either tomorrow or Friday, May 25. These shipments will only be sold to people who pre-ordered the phone. The rest will be held until Sprint/HTC announces a new launch date for the phone.

Sprint has already announced that customers who pre-ordered the phone on their website would be receiving it on or around May 24.

According to the memo, the shipments arriving are for those customers who pre-ordered prior to May 21. So if you weren’t quick enough to pre-order before then, you might just have to wait until an official launch date is revealed.

As you probably know by now, shipments of the HTC Evo 4G LTE and HTC One X were being held at U.S. Customs until they were checked to ensure that they no longer infringed on Apple’s patents.

This latest Best Buy memo comes a few days after Best Buy announced a new May 23 release date for the phone, which they quickly took back and said it was indefinitely delayed.

I guess we’ll find out if tomorrow or the 25th is going to be the lucky day for those who pre-ordered from Best Buy. Let us know if you receive yours tomorrow by leaving a comment below.
