HTC Evo 4G LTE Google Wallet fix coming this month

According to the Google Wallet entry at the Google Play store, Google is hoping to resolve the issue that’s been cramping the HTC Evo 4G LTE’s style since the phone’s release. Initially when the phone was released, Google Wallet worked fine. A future update disabled the NFC-based payment system, leaving many users upset about the situation. An update last month for the software fixed a number of things, but still didn’t bring back Wallet functionality to the HTC Evo 4G.

It appears that Google is working hard to bring Wallet back on the Evo 4G LTE. The description for Wallet in the Play Store now says that a fix for the Evo 4G LTE is in the works and will be pushed out via an OTA update sometime in July. Hopefully Google comes through on this one and fixes things before August. Hang in there, guys. Let’s wait the remaining 21 days before we pull out the pitch forks!
