Honda Connect brings Tegra-based Android to the Civic, CR-V and Civic Tourer

I am not a big Honda fan but their latest collaboration with NVIDIA is making me change my mind. NVIDIA will be bringing a Tegra-based Android infotainment system to the Honda Civic. CR-V and Civic Tourer. The 2015 models will sport a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will be the operating system.

NVIDIA and Honda worked together to integrate Android 4.0.4 as the embedded operating system in the 2015 Honda Civic, Civic Tourer and CR-V. NVIDIA brings its extensive experience working with Android in gaming, tablet and TV platforms to automotive applications

This new feature is called Honda Connect. It will allows Honda cars owners to interact with the infotainment system, the same way as they do with their phones and tablets. They can pinch, zoom, swipe and launch apps like Aha Radio and some other compatible apps. More details will be revealed in the Paris Auto Show where the 2015 Honda Civic will be announced.
