Here is our hands-on with the Huawei Ascend P1 S

We’re back again, and this time we have spent some time with one of Huawei’s latest Android smartphones, the Ascend P1 S. After examining the phone and comparing it with the Ascend P1, we found out that the only difference between the two is the thinness of the PS 1 which is 1mm less (7.69mm vs. 6.68mm).

The Ascend P1 S comes with a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, front camera, 4GB of internal storage expandable to 64GB via the microSD slot and Android 4.0. The device we had the chance to play with was a pre-production model and didn’t have apps such as the Android Market. Other than that, we think that this phone was very smooth and responsive.

The P1 S is scheduled to release in North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East sometimes in April 2012. We were told that it will be offered for about $400 or so.
